For the fixture pins (7 or 8) guide holes (9 or 10) are provided in the auxiliary rail (3) . A guide socket (11) is inserted in the guide holes (4 or 5) and accommodates the fixture pin (6). The auxiliary rail is enhanced by a bridge stirrup (12), which runs in a plane which is displaced parallel to the plane formed by the auxiliary rail and the marrow nail (2). The fixture pins (6, 7, 8) are formed as Kirschner (RTM) wires. The bridge stirrup (12) is angled at right-angles to the longitudinal axis of the auxiliary rail and is in two-parts having adjustable length. USE - In osteosynthesis.
