The invention relates to a method for starting up power station systems after a total failure of steam generation, in particular for starting up a steam boiler using the once-through flow (forced flow) principle with superimposed circulation. The object of the invention is to start up power station systems after a total failure using the existing steam boilers without auxiliary steam. This is achieved according to the invention owing to the fact that auxiliary steam generation is realised by means of firing lighting-up oil (light oil), that instead of a filling line known per se between a seal water system belonging to a low-pressure system and a feedwater line belonging to the high-pressure system the steam boiler uses a machine condensate feed line, and that machine condensate is fed directly from the low-pressure system into the high-pressure system or the feedwater tank (storage tank) and the electric feed pump are driven by means of cold water. The turbo-generator set (turbine generator, turbo-alternator) and the machine condensor are not evacuated, so that on the one hand the feedwater is preheated and deaeration occurs in the feedwater tank and on the other hand, there is a simultaneous evacuation of a turbo-generator set. The result is normal feeding of the steam boiler or boilers, and thus normal start up of the steam boiler or boilers is achieved. IMAGE
