Process for organising photographic studies which are prepared in a large photographic laboratory and are to be given out to the customer in an order envelope by a photographic dealer, in which process the order numbers of the order envelopes fed to containers assigned to individual dealers in a final sorting system are acquired, after collecting a specific number of order envelopes fed consecutively to containers assigned to the individual dealers to form bundles, allocating an identifying digit to each of the bundles, storing the order numbers of the order envelopes collected in each case to form a bundle, and communicating to the dealer the order numbers and the identifying digits of the order envelopes combined to form the individual bundles.
