A road-marking machine having at least two marking-substance outlets which are to be opened and closed independently of one another, and a non-metering feed pump which conveys the marking substance from a storage container to the marking-substance outlets and conveys the marking substance not emerging from the outlets, through a return channel leading away from the delivery side of the pump, back to the storage container or directly to the inlet side of the pump, is equipped in the return channel with a throttling member which, after the opening of a first marking-substance outlet, is brought into a position which reduces the throttling cross-section upon the opening of further outlets.
