The invention relates to a meat mincer having an operating worm which is mounted in one or more fixed parts of the set of cutters by means of a specially encapsulated bearing unit which is fixed in the axial direction but is dismountable and in the case of which optimum bearing materials can be used. This permits precise bearing of the worm and an increase in the lives of the sets of cutters.
