The invention relates to a device for the electronic determination of pressures and pressure differences in a fluid medium and comprises a pressure sensor and an evaluation circuit for assessing the electrical signals from the pressure sensor. The device according to the invention is constructed such that energy-consuming components of the evaluation circuit are only enabled after a specific predetermined ambient temperature has been determined. All further components of the circuit of the device for determining pressures are only activated, via a signal processor introduced according to the invention, after the abovementioned achievement of a specific temperature. By means of a specific external memory, which interacts with the digital signal processor, application-specific control and measurement programs can be stored and can be called up by the operator of the device in an easy manner via an entry unit. By this means, an adaptation to measurement conditions of the most different kinds can be carried out directly at the location of use.
