Method for feeding a boiler combustion chamber with air and with powdered coal starting from damp coal, in which the damp coal is ground up and dried by suspension in the hot air, the mixture of air and of powdered coal coming from the grinder is separated, by centrifuging, into a fraction of air charged with finely powdered coal particles which forms the primary air for introducing the coal into the combustion chamber, and into coarser particles of coal which are returned to the grinder. During centrifuging a fraction of air, substantially exempt of coal particles is furthermore separated out and is not introduced into the combustion chamber at the same place as the primary air and coal mixture.
