P The process comprises the treatment of dehydrated edible bulbs, in whole, sliced or milled form, by coating with at least one suitable dietary fat, the subsequent thermal treatment of said bulbs in a humid medium, preferably with steam of water, then preferably the chambering of the material thus coated and impregnated, and if necessary drying, preferably under vacuum, to remove the residual moisture. BR/ The bulbs thus treated absorb much less water than those who have not received this treatment and the particles of matter do not stick together. BR/ Application to wet microbiological decontamination in moist medium of dehydrated edible bulbs, such as garlic, onion or dehydrated shallot. / P
