The present invention relates to a repulpable laminating adhesive which contains an elastomer, tackifier and a 5:95 to 100:0 by weight blend comprising a high molecular weight oxygen-containing polymer and a wax.PPThe oxygen-containing polymer is preferably of the formulaPPA-B (I)PPwherein A is represented by a unit of the formula ##STR1## and B is represented by a unit of the formula ##STR2## and further wherein R and R.sub.1 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and a C.sub. 1 -C.sub.10 alkyl group; R.sub.2 is hydrogen or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl group; x is greater than or equal to 1 but less than 70; and y is between about 0 to about 45; provided the weight percent of B/A+B is between 0 and 50 percent and the molecular weight of the A unit is less than 2,000.
