PURPOSE: To obtain the subject treating agent containing a carbostyril derivative having a specific structure as an active ingredient, exhibiting remarkable action, especially on sick sinus syndrome, useful also for complication of intraatrial thrombus due to bradyarrhythmia and free from adverse effect. ;CONSTITUTION: This treating agent contains a compound of the formula (A is a lower alkylene; R is a cycloalkyl; the bond between 3 and 4 positions of carbostyril skeleton is single bond or double bond) or its salt, preferably 6-[4-(1- cyclohexyl-1,2,3,4-tetrazol-5-yl)butoxy]-3,4-dihydrocarbostyril or its salt as an active ingredient. The content of the compound of the compound is preferably 5-50wt.% per total composition. The daily dose of the compound of the formula is normally preferably 0.6-50mg/kg.weight.
