摘要

PURPOSE: To produce acetic acid or methyl acetate by using a methyl acetate synthesizing-catalyst represented by a specific formula, using methanol as a single source and carrying out one stage reaction. ;CONSTITUTION: A composite catalyst of heteropolyanion coordinating Ru.SnCl3 represented by the formula is used. In the formula, when X is Si or P, and X is Si, (n) is an integer of 5 or 6, and in the case X is P, (n) is an integer of 4 or 5. Under the existence of the catalyst, one or more kinds of compounds selected from of a group consisting of methanol, methyl formate and formaldehide are reacted to prepare acetic acid or methyl acetate. The heteropoly compound is a heteropoly acid or its proton dissociated body (heteropolyanion) having a structure of condensation of oxo acid, such as tungsten, molybudenum or the like with a central element of silicon, phosphorus or the like, and its heat stability is high.
