PURPOSE: To estimate whether bone density is lowered or not when human becomes advanced age and estimate risk of bone diseases such as osteoporosis by measuring gene polymorphism of estrogen receptor and connecting the gene polymorphism to bone density and bone deceases. ;CONSTITUTION: Gene polymorphism of estrogen receptor is measured about each of the combinations of the gene polymorphisms PP, Pp and pp determined by a combination of a gene type P not cut by a restriction enzyme PvuII with a gene type (p) cut at this part and the gene polymorphisms XX, Xx and xx determined by a combination of a gene type X not cut by a restriction enzyme XbaI with a gene type (x) cut at this part, and the gene polymorphism is connected to the bone density and/or bone diseases, and PPxxx represented by the gene type P not cut with the PvuII and the gene type (x) cut with XbaI is classified as a low bone density group.
