PURPOSE: To obtain the subject anti-fogging agent having excellent anti-fogging property, antiblocking property, antistatic property, etc., by adding a specific among of a polyhydric alcohol to a mixture of mixed sucrose fatty acid esters and a film-forming hydrophilic polymer. ;CONSTITUTION: This anti-fogging agent is produced by incorporating (A) 100 pts.wt. of a mixture of (i) mixed sucrose fatty acid esters (preferably containing ≥50mol% of sucrose laurate monoester) and (ii) a film-forming hydrophilic polymer {preferably a hydroxyethyl cellulose expressed by the formula [R₁ to R₃ are each (CH₂CH₂O)_mH; (m) is a positive integer provided that R₁ to R₃ are not H at the same time; (n) is ≥1]} with (B) 1-15 pts.wt., preferably 5-10 pts.wt. of a polyhydric alcohol (e.g. propylene glycol or glycerol, especially D-sorbitol).
