PURPOSE: To lessen a burden on the station staff, and enhance safety by detecting a passenger or an obstacle at the time of a train ingress or start via the combination of a platform track circuit, a train sensor, a passenger sensor or the like for giving a warning about the existence of a dangerous state and stopping a vehicle. ;CONSTITUTION: A platform track circuit 70 generates an ingress signal 70a at least upon the ingress of a train into a platform. A train sensor 20 also operates upon receipt of the signal 70a, and generates a sensing signal 20a at least upon the detection of an obstacle over the time from the closure of a train door to the start of a train.
