PURPOSE: To provide the controller for machine tool with which the information on a machine tool is displayed on a display by a document and graphic data. ;CONSTITUTION: This controller for machine tool is provided with a CPU 5 composed of an NC unit 23 for controlling a machine tool 3, and a storage device 13 equipped with at least a document data file 17 and a photographic data file 15 on the handling information of the machine tool 3, video input means for fetching the photographic data of the machine tool 3 through the CPU 5 into the storage device 13, keyboard 11 for inputting the character data to the CPU 5, display device 7 connected to the CPU 5, data base retrieving means for retrieving the document data file 17 and the photographic data file 15, and the information on the machine tool retrieved by the retrieving means can be displayed on the display device 7 by the document data and the photographic data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
