PURPOSE:To cope with any asynchronous frame period signal by selecting the frame period signal so as to form an initializing signal. CONSTITUTION:Setting a selector signal 4 to '00', a frame period signal 8a outputted from a transmission clock generating circuit 8 is selected and outputted. Then setting the selector signal 4 to '01', the selector 6 selects and outputs a frame period signal 2a inputted to an input terminal 2. Similarly, setting the selector signal 4 to '10', the selector 6 selects and outputs a frame period signal 9a outputted from a reception clock generating circuit 9. An initializing circuit 7 applies differentiation detection to the leading of the frame period signal by using an original clock 11a to output an initializing signal. Thus, the frame period signal inputted to the selector 6 is selected and initialized.
