PURPOSE: To cut a probe, which is provided with a sampling chamber of molten metal samples extracted from a melting metal furnace at the lower end, at a specified position and then take out the sample in automatic mode form the sampling chamber. ;CONSTITUTION: A probe P is suspended and supported with an alignment clamp 1 and its sampling chamber section is placed at a cutting position. At that position, the sampling chamber section is clamped with a second clamp 2. The upper end part of the sampling chamber portion is cut with a disk cutter 8 which is arranged to move forward. After the cutting is over, the clamp 2 is moved and rotated so that the sample may drop to a supply shoot 56 from the sample chamber, thereby forming the sample supply structure.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
