PRODUCTION OF HEALTH DRINK CONTAINING 'MAITAKE' EXTRACT

PURPOSE: To provide a process for producing a health drink capable of keeping the quality over a long period from a polysaccharide expected to have anticancer and AIDS suppressing actions and to be effective for suppressing blood sugar level, blood pressure, cholesterol and neutral fat contents, improving hepatic function and causing a slim body by extracting the polysaccharide in high efficiency without loss. ;CONSTITUTION: The objective health drink is prepared by immersing finely chopped fruit body of MAITAKE(Grifola frondosa S.F. Gray) in ethyl alcohol or an aqueous solution of ethyl alcohol for a prescribed time, heating the liquid to extract the active component, separating the extract from the residue by filtration and concentrating the extract.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
