PURPOSE: To provide an eye-ball movement-detecting device by which influence of the eye-ball is minimized and the eye-ball movement is detected with good accuracy in any subject. CONSTITUTION: A fixation target 13 on which a subject gazes is arrnged in front of the eye-ball, and when the subject gazes on the fixation target 13, a photodiode 8 is outputted to CPU 12 from a light receiving part 11. The radiated light amount of a light emitting LED 7 is variable-controlled based on this output. Thus, a detection accuracy of the eye-ball movement can be improved because the radiated amount of the light emitting LED 7 is made variable according to the reflected light amount of the eye-ball of the subject. And the influence on the eye-ball is minimized because the radiation amount of the light emitting LED 7 is reduced on the subject whose eye-ball movement can be sufficiently measured by reduced radiated amount.
