PURPOSE: To reduce acoustic nuisance to a minimum while improving the aerodynamic performance of a ducted counter-torque device. ;CONSTITUTION: This flow-straightening stator 8 is fixed into a duct downstream of a rotatably provided rotor 7 and includes vanes 9 with aerodynamic profile which straightens out airflow downstream of the rotor 7 substantially along the axis of the duct 6. The vanes are each inclined radially from the axis of the duct 6 to its periphery and in the opposite direction to the direction of rotation of the rotor 7, and/or inclined at a slant from the center of the duct to its periphery and from upstream to downstream of the duct 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
