PURPOSE:To shield a thin-film thermistor from external environments and to prevent deterioration of the thermistor under high temperature or high humidity condition by disposing the thin-film thermistor and internal and external leads within a protecting container. CONSTITUTION:A thick-film electrode film 2 of Au-Pt for example and a temperature detecting resistance of SiC for example are provided on a ceramic substrate to produce a thin-film thermistor element 4. The element 4 is fixed to an element support 7 to which a pair of external leads 5 are fixed, and the thick-film electrode film 2 is connected electrically with the leads 5 through internal leads 7. A cover 8 having the leads 5 fixed thereto with a recessed part 8' and a projected part 8'' interposed between the leads is fitted on a protecting container 9. In this manner, the element 4 may be shielded from external environments and protected against deterioration due to harmful environmental factors such as organic substances, water, corrosive gas, etc. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent stress caused in the element 4 by difference in coefficient of thermal expansion.
