ELECTION VOTING METHOD UTILIZING TELEPHONE LINE AND ELECTION VOTING SYSTEM USING THE METHOD

PURPOSE: To provide election voting method and system capable of executing voting without going to a polling place. ;CONSTITUTION: When a specific access code is inputted from a voter, an exchange discriminates whether a connected telephone is a resident telephone or not from an originating subscriber's number (S1). When voting is accessed from the resident telephone, a corresponding voter registering table is retrieved based upon the originating subscriber's number (S4) and the input of a voter number is requested to the voter by voice (S6). When the voter number is inputted, the number is collated with a voter number registered in the voter registering table (S8, S9), and when both the numbers agree with each other, whether voting based upon the voting number has been executed or not is discriminated (S10, S11). When the voting has not been executed yet, the input of an identification (ID) number is requested by voice (S12). When an ID number inputted from the voter matches with an ID number registered in the voter registering table, voting is permitted and the input of a candidate number voted by the voter is requested by voice.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
