PURPOSE:To maintain constant tension for a main rope connected to anchors by coupling a tubular spacer piece to an extension rod temporarily laid with one end thereof screwed into a plurality of anchors, and concurrently supplying pressure oil via the installation of a hydraulic jack between the spacer piece and the end of the extension rod. CONSTITUTION:An anchor 2 with one end thereof connected to a main rope 1 is inserted through a rope anchoring body 1a, and secured with a nut 3. An extension rod 5 is screwed into one end of the anchor 2, and a tubular spacer piece 6 is coupled to the extension rod 5. In addition, a hydraulic jack 7 is laid adjacent to the spacer piece 6, and the spacer piece 6 and the jack 7 are pressed to the rope anchoring body 1a with a nut 8 on the other end of the extension rod 5. In this state, when the hydraulic jack 7 is supplied with pressure oil at the same pressure level as and by the same hydraulic pump 9, the extension rod 5 is pulled, according to the tension of the main rope 4. Consequently, the main rope 4 comes to have the same tension, and is secured with a nut 3. The extension rod 5 and the spacer piece 6 are, then, removed, together with the hydraulic jack 7. According to the aforesaid construction, the tension of a plurality of main ropes 4 can be easily made constant.
