CONSTITUTION: This battery cover and manifold system are produced by combining a plurality of collective manifolds and covers 10, and the flow of a gas is led to an explosion-dampening mechanism 30 positioned between manifolds through a route and a electrolytic solution which has possibility being brought into contact with a cover due to vibration, inclination, overheating, overcharging, etc., is turned back to the battery as much as possible. The splash barrels 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 in the covers 10 are provided with a characteristic acidic solution level indicator and legs are installed adjacent to the manifolds, so that the manifolds are prevented from being used erroneously with other covers.
