摘要

PURPOSE:To exactly impart the arbitrary surface shape of an oriented film by the shape of a mold to the oriented film without entailing a dust generating stage by imparting the surface shape of the oriented film by pressing of the mold. CONSTITUTION:Three projecting parts 27 having slopes R2 of the same tilt angle are continuously formed and three each of projecting parts 28 having slopes R3 of another tilt angle are continuously formed on both sides thereof. The transfer mold 30 to be used in such a case has rugged shapes having recessed parts 27' corresponding to the projecting parts 27 formed by three each and recessed parts 28' corresponding to the projecting parts 28. The transfer mold 30 constituted in such a manner is used and the transfer mold 30 is once pressed to an oriented film preparing layer 21, by which the many uniformly oriented regions having the slopes of the same tilt angle by each of the many regions are formed on the oriented film preparing layer. Namely, the oriented film imparted with the surface shape is provided with the orientation uniform regions pretilt angle of liquid crystals within the effective display surface by pressing of the mold 30.
