PURPOSE: To prevent a repetition use of copying form in such a manner that the toner can not be completely removed even when a reuse of the paper is intended by removing the toner from the form to which the toner is fixed. ;CONSTITUTION: An image is formed by fixing a thermosoftening toner with heat and pressure on a fibrous surface of a paper. After this paper with the fixed toner is used as an information holding material, the paper with the fixed toner on which the image is formed is swollen in at least one kind of water or solns. selected from water, soln. containing a surfactant, soln. containing a water-soluble polymer, and soln. containing a surfactant and a water-soluble polymer. Then the toner on the paper is heated, to which a toner release member having larger adhesion strength than the adhesion strength between the toner and the surface of the form with the fixed toner is adhered to the toner image surface, by this method, almost all of the toner is peeled off from the surface of the paper with the fixed toner but a part of the toner is left.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
