PURPOSE: To provide a modified gene which can give a fused protein containing a cancer metastasis inhlbitory peptide or the like through the gene recombination technique because one or more restriction enzyme cleavage sites are introduced into the gene coding a natural type human albumen at desired positions. ;CONSTITUTION: At least one of restriction enzyme cleavage sites is introduced into a gene coding a natural type human serum albumen in at least one position, for example, of the amino terminus gene of human serum albumen containing the base sequence of formula I, the carboxyl terminus gene of human serum albumen containing the base sequence of formula II, the gene between the first and the second domains of human serum albumen containing the base sequence of formula III, a gene between the second and the third domains of human serum albumen containing the base sequence of formula IV, or in their arbitrary combination. Thus, the introduction of a gene, for example coding a peptide having cancer metastasis inhibitory activity is fasilitated on the amino terminal side whereby a modified gene coding a novel human serum albumen which can readily produce fused proteins is obtained through the gene recombination technique.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
