CLINICAL INSPECTION METHOD BASED ON IMMUNOGLOBULIN G BINDING SUGAR CHAIN STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: To inspect a human disease by analyzing a change of an amount of sugar chains containing bisecting N-acetyl glucosamine in an immunoglobulin G-sugar chain in a body fluid. ;CONSTITUTION: A change of an amount of sugar chains containing bisecting N-acetyl glucosamine in an immunoglobulin G-sugar chain in a collected body fluid, e.g. blood serum is analyzed. For example, when hepatitis is exposed, an immunoreaction is turned abnormal and a sugar-chain structure becomes abnormal as well. As a result, a structure of the immunoglobulin G-sugar chain is changed. In the case of malignant high blood pressure, the structure of the immunoglobulin G-sugar chain is different from that of a healthy person. Moreover, an amount of sugar chains is found to be changed when tone immunoglobulin G-sugar chain of a patient suffering from an IgA kidney trouble is analyzed. In this manner, the presence/absence of a human disease such as a liver disease, malignant high blood pressure, an IgA kidney trouble, etc., is detected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
