PURPOSE: To produce a safe derusting soln. without spoiling clothes at low cost by mixing thioglycolic acids in the water treated with magnetic field or ozone then treating the mixture with IR or magnetic field. ;CONSTITUTION: The water such as city water and industrial water is treated with magnetic field and/or ozone. In this case, the magnetic field is preferably controlled to 2-20G and the ozone concn. to several ppm. Thioplycolic acids are mixed in the treated soln. preferably by 0.5-5wt.%, especially by 1-2.5%. Thioglycolic acid is preferably used among the thioglycolic acids. The liq. mixture is aerated for about 2-10hr, preferably for about 4-6hr, and then treated with IR and/or magnetic field. In this case, the soln. is preferably irradiated with IR for about 48-50hr. A derusting soln. excellent in derusting effect persistence, stability and reproducibility is obtained in this way.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
