Binder constituent and mold constituent null for foundry sand

摘要

PURPOSE: To enable the production of an excellent casting mold free from casting defects in a process for production of the casting mold which uses a water-soluble phenolic resin as a binder and cures this binder by org. ester. ;CONSTITUTION: The binder compsn. for the org. ester curing type molding sand consisting essentially of the water-soluble phenolic resin and an org. nitrogen compd. and the binder compsn. prepd. by using a surfactant in combination are obtd. As a result, the formaldehyde smells generated at the time of molding of the molding sand mold and casting are drastically suppressed, by which the working environment is greatly improved and upgraded.
