PURPOSE: To provide an anesthetic needle for the dura spine which smoothly projects and passes the blade edge of an inside needle from the through hole of an outside needle and prevents the accidental disengagement of the inside needle from the outside needle. CONSTITUTION: The outside needle 1 is first pricked and passed through the ligament flava and the aperture at the blade edge 12 of the outside needle 1 is positioned in the subdural space. This position is checked by an injection cylinder, etc. The inside needle 2 is thereafter projected from the through hole 13 of the outside needle 1 and is pricked through the dura mater so as to make it positioned in the subarachnoid space. This position is checked by back flow of the spinal fluid by removing a mandrin from the inside needle 2. The projection of the blade edge 22 of the inside needle 2 from the through-hole 13 of the outside needle 1 is smoothly executed by the effect of a guide tube. The inside needle 2 is prevented by a locking part 24 from being disengaged or slipped from the outside needle 1. The injection cylinder filled with a partial anesthetic is thereafter connected to the inside needle 2 and spinal anesthesia is executed.
