REDUCTION GEAR FOR MILL AND MILL EQUIPPED WITH THIS REDUCTION GEAR

PURPOSE: To prevent a case from deforming, contact of teeth from deteriorating and a power from being distributed unequally and to decrease noises by using a tilting pad type bearing as a thrust bearing supporting an output table and forming the thrust supporting part of this bearing into a spherical shape. ;CONSTITUTION: Rotation of an input shaft 1 driven by means of a motor and a turbine is transmitted from a bevel pinion 2 to a bevel gear 4 to rotate an intermediate shaft 3 and furthermore, it is transmitted to an epicyclic gear 14 cantilever-supported by a carrier 13 from a sun gear 10 through a coupling 12 and the speed is reduced. Coarse coal particles entered between an output table 17 and a tire are ground thereby by the pressure of the tire. In such a mill as this, a tilting pad type bearing is used as a thrust bearing 18 supporting the output table 17. In addition, the thrust supporting part of this bearing is formed into a spherical shape and the center of the spherical surface is positioned between the inner diameter and the outer diameter of the vertical part receiving a thrust force of a case 9.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
