PURPOSE: To provide the subject vessel placeable at any site, ready to move, simple in administering and handling, also capable of improving algal establishment, and a method for raising algae using this vessel. ;CONSTITUTION: This alga-raising vessel 10 has a fixing part 12 to be attached to a rock, rope, etc., a container 14 having its inside 14a for holding sterilized seawater W₁ and inoculating algal spores S₁ therein, and a lid 16 to close the container 14.
