6-Salicylidenamino-2-benzothiazolinone of formula I is prepared by reaction of 6-amino-2-benzothiazolinone with salicylaldehyde in ethanol by boiling point. The compound has antihelmintic effect against model helmints Nippostrongylus brasiliensis and Hymenolepis nana and parallel is effective as stimulator of plant growth.
