An antitheft device is described, especially for bicycles and motorcycles, comprising a padlock type structure having a padlock body and hook-type locking means firmly associated with said body and able to take up an open position and a closed or locking position, in the locking position the hook locks a predetermined part of the bicycle or motorcycle, such as a wheel. The invention is characterised in that the body of the padlock includes electronic antitheft means having at least position sensing means with high sensitivity of detection, circuit means controlled by the position sensing means, alarm means and means of electric energy supply, the circuit means exciting the alarm means upon change in state of the position sensing means caused by even minimal displacement stresses applied to the bicycle or motorcycle from the outside.
