The threaded fixing rod (10) screws into the handgrip of the bow. The discs (13, 14) separated by the viscoelastic insert (9), and the spacer (14) are all threaded onto the rod. A second rod (6) screws into the collar, and clamps the visco-elastic bracket (17) to the spacer. Other rods (7) are hinged to the bracket by pins (19) and form a horizontal V. All three rods carry weights (22) which can be locked at desired positions. When the system vibrates, the conical face (16) of the collar acts as a snubber for the visco-elastic bracket.
