Burner for liquid fuels in general and low-boiling-point fuels in particular, consisting of a combustion chamber, connected axially to which is at least one nebulizing nozzle equipped with ignition electrodes, and arranged centrally relative to a hollow supporting body in such a way as to create an annular gap between the nozzle and the supporting body for the introduction of air of combustion, air flow distributor and deflector means being provided to impart to the air flow a turbulent motion to optimize the thermal output of the flame; wound around the outside of the said combustion chamber is a tubular coil ending in an annular nozzle coaxial with the said chamber and with the said central nozzle and supplied with liquid fuel by means separate from those supplying the said central burner, so that the said nebulizing nozzle can be operated only during ignition and preheating and the said coil only during vaporization and superheating of the fuel, so as to bring about combustion of a vaporized fuel capable of being controlled only by varying the flowrate of the supply to the coil.
