SE PROVIDES immunoassay fluorescence polarization TO DETECT THE PRESENCE OF METHADONE IN A test sample, ON THE BASIS OF COMPETITION BETWEEN METHADONE AND LABELING fluorescently FOR LINER binding sites of an antibody specific for methadone. CONCENTRATION OF METHADONE IN THE SAMPLE determines the amount of tracer binding to the antibody. THE AMOUNT OF COMPLEX FORMED tracer-antibody can be quantitatively measured and is inversely proportional to the amount of methadone in the sample.
