A method for treating a neoplasm, such as a malignant tumor, in humans andother animals, is disclosed. A chromophore and animmunoadjuvant are introduced into the neoplasm. The neoplasm is then lased atan irradiance sufficient to induce neoplastic cellulardestruction and to stimulate the self immunological defense system againstneoplastic cellular multiplication.
