Samples, esp. of food, are placed in containers (2) held in racks (3), which are moved along rails (21) manually, or by motor. The samples are taken between the successive process stations for weighing-in (1), decompsn. (4), cooling (7), distn. (8) and titration (15), for the Kjeldahl prepn. The track (21) further extends to a process station (18) for sample decompsn. by means of recycling. The racks may have rollers or similar, running on the rails. IMAGE
