Method of cultivation, attenuation of virulence and the in vitro cloning of the genus Babesia and their applications

Red blood cells (rbc) parasitised by members of the Babesia genus are cultured in vitro for a least one incubation (pref. several successive incubations) in the presence of non-parasitised rbc and cells suitable as a support for culturing the parasites.
