The present invention relates to an adaptive signal processor using an LMS / Newton algorithm for removing distortion or noise of an input signal.;In the conventional LMS or LMS / Newtonian algorithm, the adaptive signal processor has a disadvantage in that the hardware is not easy to implement as the overall calculation amount for obtaining the inverse of the autocorrelation matrix from the input signal increases and the implementation cost increases accordingly. .;The adaptive signal processor of the present invention first obtains an autocorrelation matrix of an input signal, and performs autocorrelation by performing a DFT transform and an IDFT transform or performing two DCT transforms assuming that the matrix is symmetrical, toepleated and cyclic. By calculating the inverse of the matrix, it is possible to reduce the amount of computation required to find the inverse, thereby simplifying and facilitating the hardware implementation and reducing the implementation cost.
