FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves purification of polymer and oligomer fractions of tetanus anatoxin against inactive antigen impurities, said purification is carried out by membrane filtration. Mixture of polymer and oligomer fractions being purified by ultrafiltration is proposed as prophylactic means against tetanus. Said ultrafiltarion is carried out on hollow fibers on the base of polymethaphenylene terephthalamide (content of tail carboxyl groups in it being 6.2-14.8 (6,2-14,8)•10^-5 g/mol/g) being modified by dextranes having molecular weight 50-500 and epoxy resin. Additional purification of polymer fraction takes place with the help of membrane on the base of polyacrylonitrile. EFFECT: improves efficiency of the method. 2 tbl
