PULSE-PERIODIC GAS LASER WITH LATERAL DISCHARGE PUMPING

FIELD: laser equipment. SUBSTANCE: laser includes pumping generator 1, optical resonator 4, metal case 2 filled with working mixture. Case houses preionization system 3, electrodes 5 forming discharge gap, peak capacitors 6 arranged in symmetry on both sides of discharge gap and connected by means of feeding plates 7, 8 to electrodes. Pumping generator gas and connected by means of feeding plates 7,8 to electrodes. Pumping generator and space with working mixture are separated by insulator 9. Case and insulator have cylindrical shape. Insulator is mounted inside case, in lower part of semi-cylinder so that longitudinal axis of insulator is located in parallel to longitudinal axis of case. Peak capacitors are put in staggered arrangement. There are made holes in feeding plate between peak capacitors placed on side of insulator. EFFECT: simplified design of laser, reduced cost of its manufacture and enhanced average power of radiation. 2 dwg
