Splined shaft with spline toothing having elastomer end springs

The elastomer coating fitted to one or other shaft part thickens into springs at the toothing interface flanks and form buffer pockets (4) between spring and toothing into which the springs yield whenever the two shaft parts rotate relative one another. The pockets are where the toothing is at maximum and/or minimum distance from the shaft axis and at one axial end of the toothing the elastomer coating goes over into equi-spaced centering elements (8) which bear on the mutually parallel supporting faces (9,10) of the two parts of the shaft (4,5). The faces surround the axis concentrically and the elements can yield into free spaces which limit them with any radial displacement of the two shaft parts. The elements are elastically radially pre-tensioned and go over into one another at their respective sealing lips (12,15) which in turn make contact with the shaft parts along a peripherally closed sealing belt.
