The dynamoelectric machine has a laminated wound rotor (1) with an outer dia. of about 6 m, with the winding head secured against centrifugal force by an enclosing annular support device, provided by a number of plate-shaped ring sections, secured to an inner ring (7) via tension bolts. The inner ring is provided by a laminations packet, fitted to the rotor hub (2) in the same manner as the rotor laminations packet (3) and having equip-spaced axial profile slots around its periphery, receiving profile rails for the tension bolts.
