The principal open loop (10) stands proud of the outer edge (5) of each sector (2) and is positioned in an unused part (11) of the band (1) from which the stator sectors are cut. The auxiliary open loop is shifted relative to the principal loop, notably by an angle equal to half that of the sector arc. The principal loop may be formed by complementary trapezoid structures on adjacent lamina. A stack of sectors is arranged so that sets of principal loops are aligned with sets of auxiliary loops for the insertion of alignment rods by offsetting one set by the appropriate angle relative to the other.
