Overspray collector for the separation of paint particles during spray painting in aerated and vented spray booths

The bodywork of a motor vehicle (2) is sprayed with paint in a spray booth (4). The vehicle (2) is supported on a grid (1) and excess paint falls through the openings in the grid. Underneath the grid (1) there are several horizontal rows of bars (6) with the rows mounted one above the other. Each bar has a lens shaped cross-section. The bars are mounted with the major axis of the cross-section inclined to the vertical and the axes of bars in the same row are parallel to each other, whilst the axes of bars in adjacent rows are inclined in opposite directions. These bars trap the drops of paint but do not restrict the flow of air through the booth. USE - Paint spraying of motor vehicle bodywork.
