All appliances within the painting area, which are not to be painted, are maintained at a temperature, which is below the dew point of the paint mist. This applies esp. to the inner walls of a spray booth, which are cooled. The paint flowing off the cooled walls is directed into a collection tank. Selected appliances, e.g. spray guns, are not cooled. The spray mist is sucked out of the spray booth, cooled in the area of the suction channels, and returned to the paint tank. ADVANTAGE - Reduced losses of pain and thus a reduced cost of disposal of lost paint.
