摘要
A process is disclosed for removing mercury from effluents of flue gas purification plants. The crude effluents from the flue gas scrubbers, which carry solid materials, are treated with an excess of oxidizer in order to quantitatively convert mercury into its soluble bivalent form. Only then the remaining solid materials are separated and washed (10; 14). The dissolved mercury is bound by a ion exchange resin and separated (24). The large amounts of flue gas purification slurries are thus rid of practically all mercury, whereas the proportion to be dumped of mercury-contaminated special waste is kept small.
